Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is a director, writer and producer who established Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Pictures (ROMP) in India. He started making television commercials under his company Flicks Motion Picture Company in 1986 and made the transition from making ad films to feature films with Aks in 2001. Following the creation of ROMP Pictures in 2004, he has since gone onto make the critically acclaimed Rang De Basanti (Colour of Sacrifice) (2006), Delhi-6, and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. His films reflect a strong sense of social relevance and dynamism, which have made them important to generations of people who have watched them.



Producer / Editor

P.S. Bharathi got her start as an editor with commercials. She made the transition to film with Aks in 2001 and has since edited and produced every one of ROMP Pictures’ movies. Her work on Rang De Basanti earned her a nomination at the 2007 BAFTA Awards, and she has won several awards for her work on ROMP’s other films besides. She made her directorial debut with Rubaru (Face to Face), a documentary on the social impact of Rang De Basanti. 




Rajiv Tandon has been involved in extremely diverse areas; from Financial Consulting to designing and delivering furniture and artifacts to Marquee U.S. based chain stores and found his final calling in life in film making at ROMP in 2009.

Rajiv is known to straddle high-level strategy and ground level execution with equal ease. He holds responsibility for sustainable profitability, for managing investor relationships and for creating and consistently delivering a Six Sigma Environment for scheduling, shooting and production in some of the most challenging terrains in India.

He has worked as a Producer on Teen Thay Bhai (2011) and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013). And is currently working on ROMP’s soon to be unveiled upcoming releases



has worked with the renowned Director, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra as his Chief AD  and Editor for his advertising Company. He has also worked on  2 feature films AKS and RANG DE BASANTI with Mehra , his mentor and guide. As Director of Ad films , Atul has directed nearly 250 films for multinational brands.

Some of the brands and corporates that he continues to have a great working relationship with are P&G, Wipro , Mahindra and Mahindra , ITC , Yamaha , Tata Motors , Tata Housing, Nivea , Dabur , Con Agra , Panasonic , J Hampstead , Amul  to name just a few.

He directed a film for , titled #hepthefarmer which won all the top advertising awards in the country including a Gold at the Abby’s 2016 , 5 Elephants at the Kyoorius Awards 2016 and was declared No 1 Best film of the year 2015, by the prestigious Economic Times. Atul has recently been signed to direct his debut feature film titled “Fanney Khan” to be produced by ‘Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Pictures’.
